Untitled (1988)

The wantings, fading
The future, closing
All I see is black
   for me my dear,
You lit your nights,
Leaving me blind
   behind - totally lost,
Your light shining upon
some stranger's
   darknight
But the darkest one
   is under your skin
And I hope it burns
   until time's end.

Bright lights and black holes. ... what a way to describe an ex. I'd say you're completely "over" that one. Well phrased, clever executions of language leading to the climax. Well done!
